Welcome!

We are excited that you will be visiting us!

We know that each church has it’s own flavour and culture, so here is a snapshot of what you can expect when you visit Vineyard Ottawa for the first time:

    • Finding us. We are located at 51 Greenbank Road (near Baseline). Vineyard Ottawa is easily accessible by bus and we also have lots of parking for vehicles in the lot at the rear of the building.
    • We are new too! We are a relatively new church plant, so we don’t have a ton of programs or events, but as the Lord builds us there will be more and more happening!
    • We are casual. You don’t need to dress up to come to church, so dress how you are comfortable!
    • We start at 10:00 am. If you can, try to come a few minutes early to grab a seat and settle in. Our service ends at around noon.
    • We love your family! While you are welcome to sit wherever you like, we have a section just for families with young children where kids can colour and play quietly. Due to the pandemic we do not yet have childcare programs running yet.  For babies 0-1 year old, however we do have a nursery available to parents for rocking and diaper changing.
    • We are worshipers. At 10:00, after a short welcome, we will spend some time in worship together. This is our favourite thing to do as a community!
    • We are spontaneous. We like to leave room for the Holy Spirit to move as He desires, which means sometimes we pause just to listen. (“Come Holy Spirit” is our favourite prayer!) We enjoy spontaneity and aren’t tied to a structure. While we usually pray, plan, and have an idea of how the morning will go, we are open to God changing it all.
    • We are welcoming. If you are new—don’t worry—you won’t be ignored. But you won’t be overwhelmed by overly-enthusiastic greeters either. It’s friendly, casual, fun, and we believe that God will bring just the right people to chat with you!
    • We are committed to supporting other churches—here in Ottawa and around the world. After our extended worship time we usually take a short time to lift another church or ministry up in prayer.
    • We love the Word of God. The teaching at VO is shared by the gifted teachers and communicators in our community. The Word of God is our foundation, and you will hear biblical teaching. While each speaker is unique in their gifts and perspectives, our general style is a casual one.
    • We believe in prayer. At the end of every service there is an opportunity to receive prayer by a ministry team who is safe, and will pray with and for you.

We hope to see you soon!
